A "Personal" email from Senator Franken!

Dear Person on My Email List,
It’s me again, with a very personal email. Oh, who am I fooling? I’m writing the same damn thing to everyone! I feel like such a fraud!

That was refreshing, wasn’t it? An email that claims to be personal, but admits it isn’t. How often do you get that? “Never!” is the answer to that question.

So, let me at least try to make this personal. It would really help me personally if you would go to my website, AlFranken.com, and check out its rich collection of content. Including this week’s report about my speech for Jewish Social Services of St. Paul. Which was such a pleasure, because they aren’t a bunch of schmucks like the gang over at Jewish Social Services of Minneapolis.

Then there’s the link to the latest edition of The Al Franken Podcast. This week with Jeffrey Toobin, legal analyst for CNN and The New Yorker, and Nancy Gertner, professor at the prestigious Harvard Law School, known for unpleasant professors like Alan Dershowitz.

Toobin and Gertner discuss the Federalist Society with a former member of the Senate Judiciary Committee – me. It’s an informative, scary, and often funny episode. (I call Scalia’s dissent in the marriage equality decision, “very gay.”) So, give a listen and subscribe today. As a personal favor. See? This is a personal email.

And if you really like the podcast, tell your friends about it. You can go on social media and write, “Wow! Is The Al Franken Podcast the best, or what?!” or “Tell you one thing – The Al Franken Podcast is the best podcast going!” or “I highly recommend The Al Franken Podcast.” or “Have you listened to the Al Franken Podcast? It’s great!!!” or “My husband and I LOVE The Al Franken Podcast!” or “My wife and I LOVE The Al Franken Podcast!” or “The Al Franken Podcast doesn’t insult my intelligence by repeating the same idea over and over.” I think you’ve got the idea by now!

So, go to AlFranken.com. And listen to my podcast with Jeffrey Toobin and Nancy Gertner about how the Republicans are stacking the courts with right-wing ideologues from the Federalist Society. It’s personal. For everybody.

Your personal friend,

Al

...sigh. He would be pretty handy right now grilling asshats. Maybe we can bring him back in some capacity if only we could lift the stigma from false charges off him.
In the meantime, he is still loved.
