I saw two F-8's approach each other at an air show about 50 years ago. They were maybe 20 feet off the ground. When they got close they did a vertical ninety and hit afterburner. They were out of sight in less than half a minute. That was impressive. I doubt if that will happen in DC though. The sound of the afterburners would break glass and set off numerous alarms.

a few years ago at Scott AFB I watched two F-15s fly in formation with two B-25 Mitchell bombers. It was fun; the B-25s were putting out everything they had, and the F-15s had every flap up and wheels down, all in an effort to keep in line with each other.

A flameout and loss of power while going vertical. With pilot punching out to safety. With the plane falling back on the south lawn and inflicting serious property and collateral damage.

I hope that doesn't happen.

As far as I know, only one fighter aircraft can do that, the F-15 Strike Eagle.
