Trump has defined himself forever. "He will take information from foreign governments,

to defeat opponents and not report it to authorities.." Today he defended himself as he always does. If he had said "I made a mistake in saying that, then he would have gained respect from a lot of people. But he didn't. He never says, "I made a mistake" or "I was totally wrong" or "I was wrong"..etc. etc. He will have to defend himself over and over on this one.
...From his point of view, this makes sense. But this is the stupidest thing he has said lately. As he said, it is not illegal to listen. But it is immoral. He doesn't give a s**t. But many of us do. And many republicans do. And this is beyond normal. This defines him forever....
...Another example: Richard Nixon, "I am not a crook"... but he was. And so is Trump!!!

Mind blowing

2. That is correct, but this proves he is "nuts." Yes, Trump blows people's minds.

But he thinks it is ok. And he doesn't give a s**t. But most people do. I think he will lose some support from republicans after time has elapsed. Why will it take time?..Republicans have got to get their act together to oppose this crap in a way that is plausible. After all, Trump is their leader. Hard to put down the "leader."

3. I can't wait for whomever the Democratic nominee is to drag him on this and call him a traitor

on national tv in the debates.

The Dems need to go for the jugular and use this in ads and show that this bastard is fucking traitor. He is not a patriot.
He is loyal only to himself. He is a grifter and only cares about what benefits him and his family. He does not care about what is best for America.

6. I agree, and I think we will go for the "jugular" on this. And most people will not agree with him

..Note, I said most people. Some will say it is ok, but Trump doesn't know it, but this is it. His defense of an almost illegal act. So over and over Trump will defend this. It is not "illegal to listen". But most of us know, it is morally wrong. Trump has focused himself on a statement that is kind of "illegal" on the surface. And he has defended that statement. The statement was a mistake, and Trump could have defined it as such, but he never does that. He has talked himself into a corner, and will never be able to talk this one away.

You're correct that Trump "has defined himself forever." As Rob Reiner pointed out, we already know everything about Trump. It's all been in plain sight for his whole life.

I don't believe you're correct that "many Republicans" care about his criminality. Far too many do not care about anything but money and power. Those in power aid and abet Trump every step of the way. Their media organizations-- not just Fox News-- all defend him and cover for him. And the rank-and-file have been conditioned to hate anything Liberal or Democratic.

If those Republicans haven't rejected Trump by now, they never will.

Sadly, about 40% of Americans are fundamentally un-American in their views and understanding of our government.
