He's one of the stupidest people imaginable.
He's a malicious prick that has no problem with the deaths of children at the border.
He cares nothing about America, anyone or anything. His only interest is himself.
He just publicly stated that he'd have no problem with foreign governments interfering in our elections. -- Again.
He's fucked up our judiciary system that will take decades to fix.
He and the Republicans have wiped out countless consumer protection laws.
He's personally profited from the presidency through his hotels and perhaps a few dozen other ways we have yet to learn about.
He's raised nepotism to an art form.
He's raised hypocrisy to an art form.
He's raised cruelty to an art form.
He's raised being unfit to be a dog sitter to an art form.
But the bottom line is that he's fucked up America, with the full help of the Republican Party.
At the end of the Constitutional Convention, a lady asked Benjamin Franklin what kind of government had been created. His answer was a masterpiece. "A republic, Madam, if you can keep it."
Today, Franklin's response is prophetic. Can we hold on to the country that was created at that first Constitutional Convention? It's up to us. And by us, I don't mean today's fascist-like Republican Party, or the imbecile in the White House. I mean, "We The People." -- Do we have what it takes to reclaim America?

(4,516 posts)as much as or more than impeachment.
Impeachment can give us immediate gratification but it cant give us health care, or reproductive freedom or free higher education.

(30,613 posts)Most voters are fairly clueless about the extent of the crimes committed by Trumputin and the Russiapublicans.
I recommend actually holding the impeachment vote on the last day of Congress' session - so Turtle won't get the opportunity to kill it.

(12,265 posts)The House can impeach him but the Senate won't do a thing to remove him. So take all of the impeach him energy and put it into getting out the vote and making damn sure he doesn't get reelected. We also need to put more energy into convincing some of those Presidential candidates to run for Senate so we can have it all and begin to roll back all of the horrible things the orange hurricane has done to this country.

(82,849 posts)But whatever it is, we either haven't done it yet or we haven't done it enough. Keep working, keep talking to people, keep the pressure on and going. These fuckers were never going to say, "Aw, ya got me, copper," and go quietly. We're going to have to seal off every escape route and methodically corner them until there's nowhere else to go. Right now we're securing the perimeter so he can't slither away or squeak through a crack in the floorboards.
