I'd like to think that this memo is in fact, a real turning point.

The head of the Federal Election Commission released a statement on Thursday evening reiterating, emphatically, that foreign assistance is illegal in U.S. elections.

“Let me make something 100% clear to the American public and anyone running for public office: It is illegal for any person to solicit, accept, or receive anything of value from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election,“ wrote Ellen Weintraub, chairwoman of the FEC. “This is not a novel concept.“

She also sent the statement via Twitter with the introductory line: “I would not have thought that I needed to say this.“

Weintraub‘s statement comes after President Donald Trump told ABC News that he would probably hear out opposition information offered by a foreign national if given the chance in 2020. He also said he might not tell the FBI about it, even though bureau Director Christopher Wray said such assistance would need to be reported.

Mueller Report too.

Mueller carefully crafted language to give trump and his kids cover on conspiracy, but there are crimes beyond that and trump keeps running his mouth, incriminating himself within the Impeachment criteria.

another version of the Untouchables !! Seems to me no matter what he would have to fight through, a career FBI guy, decorated combat Marine, talented, lucky, and hard working enough to become FBI Director, would avail himself of the opprutunity to be the hero who saved his country. History of his time Hero, Elliot Ness type immortality? Joe Friday is disappointed.
Instead Rodger Stone is still a mocking jackal.

That Trump will find a way to force Weintraub out and replace her with a more compliant person.

And our elected representatives will decide to study it a while, in case there's some problem there that eludes easy identification.
