The Election: Attack the ego, attack the delusion, then watch Trump destroy himself.

For many years I have worked with people who have suffered severe brain injuries. Many of them now suffer with mental illness, delusion and strange behavioral problems. Many of them have some things in common with Trump. I shit you not.

The people I work with and Trump repeat the same patterns, routines, over and over again. They do this as a way to deal and cope with life itself. Disrupt their routine, patterns and they lose control. They will lash out and act out with extreme desperation. They make big mistakes.

Some of the people I work with and Trump seamlessly cross back and forth over the boundary of reality and delusion. This is why Trump is so hard to understand at times. It makes it almost impossible to predict what he will do next. For example: Trump will tell a lie and he knows it is a lie, that's reality. In the next sentence Trump will tell a lie that he believes is True. I am a stable genius, This is delusion. He doesn't even know he is doing it.

Trump does not have a soul, he lacks remorse, empathy. In its place is an ego the size of Mount Everest. Attack it.

If you challenge the people I work with and Trumps delusions they take that as an attack that is completely unbearable. They lose control. They make big mistakes. You are challenging their very sanity. They cannot recognize their own delusions. To them it's true and real.

Some of the people I work with and Trump, emotionally are at grammar school levels. Trump is like a child in many ways. This is major weakness the Democrats should take advantage of.

In my opinion The Democrats running for president should not attack Trump in a normal way, He is not normal. I would like to see all of the Democratic candidates get together and form a coordinated, constant, sustained attack on Trump's Ego and Delusions. He would not be able to handle it.

They could do it this way. Constantly attack Trumps lack of intelligence. Whenever the Democrats attack, mention any of Trumps failures, tie it to his lack of intelligence. Example: Trump failed to build a wall because he and the idea are stupid. I would like to see all the candidates call Trump Stupid, Dummy, give him a nickname like Dumb Donald. This all sounds silly, child like, Right? That's the point. To us it sounds silly, To a mentally ill , insecure child, it is a nightmare.

Attacking Trumps lack of intelligence, attacks both his ego and his Delusion. You kill two birds with one stone. In my opinion, if the Democrats were to do this the American people would witness Trumps brain come apart at the seams. He would destroy himself.

"Trump lacks energy"

"Trump lacks intellectual curosity."

"Trump lacks a moral compass."

"Trump lacks empathy."

That is not name calling. That is laying the truth to Trump's faults, and there are many. It will drive him insane to hear that day in and day out. It goes for the jugular of his ego .

The major point I am trying to make in my post is Trumps brain, like the brains of the people I work with is nothing like ours. This is how Trump confuses us. You have to deal with, attack Trump in a totally different way.

When you realize this you can see how weak and fragile Trump is. Grown ups running for office do not want to go around calling people Dummy. Its child like. With Trump, that's exactly what you have to do. It's bizarre, Trump is bizarre, everything that has happened the past two years has been bizarre.

It's time for the Democrats to get bizarre. LOL!

He will become less passive/aggressive, and more aggressive. He'll start "losing it", which might be horrible considering the power he holds (nuclear codes, economy) and the armed, unstable people he has following him. Trump is like the charismatic cult leader Jim Jones. When the jig was up, and Jones was cornered he directed a mass suicide and mass murder of his followers in the remote jungle of Jonestown, Guyana.

He sees things in childish terms, so the more childish the insult, the better. It will trigger his intellectual insecurity. And you can make fun of him for little, unimportant mistakes even, like when he called Tim Cook of Apple, "Tim Apple." Most people would laugh that off as a harmless slip of the tongue. Not Dopey Donald. His intellectual insecurity makes it impossible for him to admit a mistake, no matter how frivolous. He's so afraid that any admission of error will expose him as the dope he truly is, he can't help making it worse by denying the video evidence or making dopey claims to try to cover his original dopey mistake.

Narcissistic people also have a very real inferiority complex. They use the bravado, bullying and attacks to get what they want.

They know very well they are fakes and use those tactics to cover up just how inferior they are.

That is why Trump sits in front of his 3 TV’s waiting to attack. His reaction to humor is a classic example. He thinks the name calling, meanness is funny. Not realizing it exposes him. Ignoring Trump is the best thing you can do.

That has turned out to be impossible. The MSM seem to adore him. He generates constant crisis and, thus, constant news. Therefore, I am in complete agreement with the OP. The best thing to do is ridicule him for his stupidity. We do it here all the time, but candidates have yet to take that up. Our congresspeople afford him the respect of treating his stupidity like it's an affectation of republicanism itself instead of solely his own. Other republicans have gone to great lengths to make this believable. So it's time to start calling out his ideas as outlandishly idiotic. Ad hominem all the way! It will produce results.

The Democrats just don't seem to know how sell themselves and their ideas, and to use their opponents weaknesses against them.
Your final paragraph says it all

Attacking Trumps lack of intelligence, attacks both his ego and his Delusion. You kill two birds with one stone. In my opinion, if the Democrats were to do this the American people would witness Trumps brain come apart at the seams. He would destroy himself.

I think the new guard that came in after 2018 gets this...unfortunately, the old guard is still trying to go by the decorum that was expected and actually worked back when Republicans had ethics and morals. The news media has to learn how to question and deal with Trump. They do a good job investigating Trump. They do a terrible job when they question him. They are unprepared for his responses. They all should know by now he is a child who will lie to them, Insult them.

The news media has to change. Trump is not normal, you have to adjust. Once in a while you see a reporter do a good job. Even then they could have taken it farther. Example: You just told a lie, why do you constantly lie like a child, or, why do you lie all time, it makes you look like an idiot and a criminal.

I agree. I know there are some who will say these things are petty and not important, and that is true. But Donald Trump is a vain, petty man and attacking the things he is insecure about will drive him over the edge.

The goal is to expose him for the useless, unstable, insane person that he is. He is a bully who tries to project strength and that is what his base loves about him. When they see him fall to pieces in public, that strongman image will be shattered.

Form a coordination committee to design a series of TV spots where two of our guys sit side-by-side and speak alternately to describe some of Trumps failed government actions (loser!), weaknesses, misdeeds and crimes.

I think having two of them together in 15 or 30-second spots would blow his mind and throw his minders into disarray. He mostly likes to attack individuals and also cannot relate to people who might otherwise be seen as adversaries agreeing to anything.

This is totally unrelated to any potential pairings for President/VP, but instead they would be chosen for most impactful presentation of the issues being addressed in each spot.

That also demonstrates party unity.....

He clearly thinks his deal-making is his great skill, so ... where's his 'deals'?

N. Korea? China? Infrastructure? Obamacare Replacement? NAFTA? Getting Mexico to Pay for the Wall? Saving the Coal Industry?

Hammer him on his FAILURES to make any of the DEALS he promised. The only thing he's 'accomplished' (which isn't much) are things he could unilaterally order.

A lot of her...I don't know what the latest buzzword is - clients? Consumers? (really) Never patients or cases, for sure.

Anyway, a lot of them had frontal lobe damage from car accidents and the like, and were (and probably still are) just as you described.

I've never encountered anyone who has such parallel experience as my friend Helen. RIP

She loved it. I hope you do, too. I also love your synopsis, as I know she would have.

64. The Media is Supporting Trump

The media is playing both sides against the middle. The democratic candidates need to talk about their agendas and how to accomplish them and then they should all attack trump as a united front--even though only one dem will get the nomination. However, the media is instigating a battle that pits the candidates against each other. The candidates are being forced to unnecessarily attack Biden for little petty things. In light of all the crap that trump has done, we really can't go any lower. How are we setting standards of behavior for biden when we let "trump be trump". They can all push their agendas and as a unified front, attack trump on everything from his uncouth behavior, his racism, his lying, his associations with foreign aggressors, his failures on immigration, his lack of judgment in letting the government shut down or destroying the iran deal, his repealing safety regulations for capricious and/or monetary reasons, his appointing incompetent or unsavory characters to high offices simply because the "like" him. The candidates don't need to attack each other because when they do, they give trump ammunition to attack them as well. Take joe biden, when the dems allowed someone, I don't know who, to bring up Biden's innocent act of kissing women on the head, they gave trump the idea to call biden "creepy joe". trump has been using this stuff for his own benefit. DON'T LET THE MEDIA CONTROL THE WHAT THE CANDIDATES DO. Some of them are already falling for it and have started to criticize other dem candidates on petty issues.

Or:
that he "Made America Grate AGAIN!!!"

I think that when you fight fire with fire, you only get burnt. Best to understand that this guy is only a figurehead, the real people holding the power are the people behind him, telling him what to do. I am all for getting this guy out of the WH, but it should be more important to get a Democratic Senate and keep the House, for, if need be, they can override this idiot's veto, or put an end to the gerrymandering that brought this scourge to power, along with the dark money that financed him. There are some serious flaws in our system of government that need to be addressed with legislation, so that no one man can use executive directions to enrich himself, his family or his buddies at the expense of the people or the planet. The presidency is an office, just like any other government office, albeit the top office, but it should, as all the others, be an office that answers to the people.

I don't like calling people dumb except in the sense that they do things that are bad for them. There's nothing wrong with being relatively unintelligent. The world needs to be decent place for folks, regardless of IQ or "sophistication" (whatever that might be) levels.

You're right that we need to laugh at Trump. That's just good rhetoric when an opponent calls for it and deserves it. Nancy Pelosi has a good sense of it.

I think this would also work to unravel his base who are always saying what a "good job" he is doing, by calling out the bad job he is doing and attacking their delusion.
