3. No one even bothered to believe him for an instant.

And Mike Pompeo has lost whatever meager credibility he still had... blaming every attack in the world on Iran the other day-- he made it all too plain Trump wants a fake war with Iran to divert everyone.

4. It's as if Bolton had said....

"Alright, alright, so this one didn't work. Don't worry, I have more where that one came from."

13. It is what dictatorial authoritarians do..

Out of a myriad of information on different types of authoritarian states---

WIKI--

"Authoritarianism also tends to embrace the informal and unregulated exercise of political power, a leadership that is "self-appointed and even if elected cannot be displaced by citizens' free choice among competitors", the arbitrary deprivation of civil liberties and little tolerance for meaningful opposition.[10]"

Totalitarianism Authoritarianism

Charisma High Low
Role conception Leader as function Leader as individual
Ends of power Public Private
Corruption Low High
Official ideology Yes No
Limited pluralism No Yes
Legitimacy Yes No

The right side sure looks like we we have.

8. We can be grateful for their ineptitude

If this had been Cheney and Rumsfeld, the first body bags of our troops KIA would already be on the way home.

12. Very true on the ineptitude.

However, I think even Cheney and Rumsfeld would have a problem getting away with it a second time. Our reputation is shot, not only at home and not only by rump.

14. Yes, It Didn't Work for Them!

Yes, it didnít work for them. People are getting smarter but they arenít. If they are so right why arenít they continuing to justify their version of events? Look out for more attempts. We initiated and held a town hall here in Portland last night with our local US Representative. The Iranian American Community came to talk about the sanctions and the Muslim Travel Ban and how they were hurting their families and the threat of war. Everyone should do this all over the country. Donít let them win. Our family lost a brother in Vietnam for a lie, donít let it happen again!!!!!

17. They will keep throwing them at us until they appear to stick.

As they did in the media push leading up to Iraq they will overwhelm the MSM with as many memes as they can dish out until the simple effect of hearing of so many "events" will persuade people that "We need to do something NOW!"
