So, since (almost) everyone agrees he's insane, now what?

Every Democrat knows he's insane.

And almost every elected Republican knows he's insane.

His base, about one third of voters, gobble up everything he peddles.

So what do we do?

Face it. His base doesn't "get it." They don't know he's insane. They can't see it. They never will. And that may tell us a lot about the 2020 election. They will never do anything about it. They will never turn on him. They will believe every lie. They will worship him. And they will eat each and every bowlful of poison he serves up. Put that together with enough "independent voters" and shit will happen.

Due to gerrymandering, uncounted votes, voter suppression, and so many other tactics that Republicans have used to steal elections, what do we do when 2020 rolls around?

The answer is to turn out in such massive numbers that they can't steal it.

BUT, even that doesn't mean they can't steal it.

"President" Al Gore had a presidential election stolen from him by the Supreme Court in 2000. Think it can't happen again?

The Republican Party, the (stolen) Supreme Court, and the Republicans who control far too many state legislatures, can see to it that we will end up with four more years of Donald Trump.

What do we do then? This is of course a rhetorical question. In my opinion, and the opinions of many others, four more years of Trump will mean the end of American democracy.

So here's my question. And please don't answer it lightly. Exactly what are you prepared to do if this horrible scenario comes about?

As for the horror should we fail, prepare for the worst and expect the best. Why betray our strategies before the trap is set?

IT loves to provoke blog chatter that ends up giving him more reported clicks for just the name trump. I was surprised on an internet search that blogs and comments on DU are searchable by our screen names.

Remember, Liberals execute newborn babies with bricks - or we're flag-burning Communists who hate Jesus. We deserve whatever misery President Asshole triggers in us.

Spite is when you hurt yourself to hurt someone else. That's where the vast majority of Trumpists are at.

I was born there, but adopted by a couple in the US, and was made a citizen at the age of about four years old.

But, I think things will work out. It is very hard for one political party to keep the White House for more than eight years, at least since the days of mass communications beyond newspapers.
