This is magnificent. @IanBlackfordMP calls Boris Johnson a racist. Speaker warns him its inappropriate & asks him to withdraw. Blackford refuses: ‘He’s called Muslim women letterboxes..if that not racist I don’t know what is.’

Words have meanings...whatever his other political beliefs, attacking the subjugating of women being kept in bee keeper's outfits should be commended. That is not attacking the women IN the outfits, it is attacking the abuse of those women.

6. That's a misquote he said they look like letterboxes. How is that different

than Monty Python ridiculing men prancing around in bowler hats as twits? Swanning around in medieval garb is the same sort of affectation.

and "a disgusting slur I will not dignify by repeating" (which was "piccaninnies"). Those were racist remarks.

3. I despise Boris but that is not what he said. He said women wearing burkas look like

letterboxes. His comment was directed at that atrocious outfit. How is that different from someone cracking jokes about hipster fashion or "big hair" to harken back to the 1980s.
