didnt get to see who it was bought for, but wow, first one. Medicare for all is getting traction, and whoever this group is trying to defeat it is already starting their assault against it.

(38,303 posts)My television plays DVDs and Netflix. That's all it does. No cable, no satellite, no broadcast.
My mental health is much improved and I can still read about these horrors.

(38,303 posts)Well, except for any advertising that has video, sound, or anything that moves, unless I choose to click on it.
I also subscribe to our local real paper newspaper, and always pick up the free local real paper weekly.
NPR makes me crazy, but I do contribute to public radio locally.
I have subscriptions to a few national news sources, and I sporadically send money to The Guardian.
I can be better informed without noisy cable news. I very rarely see television advertising except as posted as YouTube videos here on DU, and I don't pay for any of it.

(63,892 posts)As I was "explaining" to the TV set, loudly, "Yeah, so why is it we're the only country in the effin WORLD that doesn't have health care for everyone?!!" I remember having this argument YEARS ago and nothing has changed!
