They've consistently pandered to the very worst and now want to act all offended when the worst of the worst runs for public office.

Same thing with the Tea party. Only now, it's all out there in the open and sitting in the oval.

Tired of seeing DUers posting his tweets like he isn't married to the biggest law-breaking Trump-booster in DC, like he isn't gleeful as fuck to get every Federalist Society hack nominated by Trump onto the federal judiciary, including specifically Boofer Brett, who he lobbied the hell out of to get confirmed.

They do not want to admit that this is the end result of the conservative mindset. When your values are predicated on the accumulation of wealth, and of authoritarianism you get a person like Donald Trump, or Mussolini, or Franco, or Putin, or even Hitler depending on th conditions.

Republicans know that their policies are shit. They know that they cater to the wealthiest people and they know that they want to keep a White male hegemony, but they do not have the numbers to do so overtly so they cobbled together a coalition of fearful authoritarian loving morons from White Supremacists, to Christian Dominionists, to anti-intellectual jackasses in order to ensure that they could continue policies that keep rich people rich. The conservative elites weren't really ready for a crass, vulgar, disgusting con-artist like Trump. They thought they could continue the veneer of "tradition" with stiffs like Romney or Jeb Bush but their base wanted real pieces of shit like Ted Cruz or Trump because why go with a stiff blue blood seeming dog whistling phony when you can have the real, openly misogynistic, racist, shit talking, anything for a buck type of right wing populist like Trump. Cruz just suffered from being too much of a smarmy little prick to win. No one really likes him but Trump is every dumbass fool's idea of a rich man. He boils conservatism down to its essence.

Rethugs got hyper-pissed over taxes years ago and knew desperate measures were needed to gain power and rewrite tax law and strangle government. So, they started gathering up all sorts of diverse groups into the fold to capture votes, and an unlikely bunch of associates they did capture - gun nuts, survivalists, evangelical churches, libertarians, racists and xenophobics of all stripes....just to name a few.

We're hoping the whole damn thing comes unglued, and it should. Trump is just an orgy of the unwieldy beast they built. The Party at its core really is one exclusive to (mostly white) millionaires (and above) and always has been in my memory since the early 60s. So, this fake persona they've applied is a facade and lipstick on the old worn-out pig.

Their policy presentation is also a complete ruse, with one set of policy to attract the minions and a second hidden one they execute into law. No surprise the first set just wastes government resources for the show and the second one only benefits wealthy plutocrats. And, they use the same playbook at local, state and federal levels.

No way FDR's or LBJ' tremendous successes would have happened if they had told dubious allies to 'fuck off'.

19th century journalist, C.D. Warner, was a fine quote maker. History honors a number of his quotes, especially this one.

I’m sick of the myth that there was this honorable Republican Party in the past. They’ve been snakes for decades and assholes like this supported them.

Done with what they think and say and do.

If they were decent human beings, they never would have been Republicans in the first place.
