Need a Greek translation ..

The most un-ambiguous bad-dog sign I have ever seen, and it is in Greek! Bought two of these signs in downtown Athens in around 1997. Intuitively, I know exactly what it means. Those teeth tell the story. But what is the exact translation of the Greek? Beware of dog?

I had these on the various gates to my backyards: Sirius' and Nick's playgrounds in Dallas (TX) and Greenville (SC). They would have laughed their doggie asses off if they knew what it meant. Could not be further from the truth, pertaining to sweet Sirius and Nick-Nick.

BTW: I scanned one of those the metal signs and restored the image in Photoshop. I plan to make a couple of new metal versions this week.

Then Google Translate I get:

??????? ??????
PROSOCHI SKYDOS
WARNING SKY

DOG translates as:
??????
SKYLOS

WOLF as:
?????
LYKOS

But I am not sure about some of the Greek characters - they are different in the ones provided in WordPerfect and may not be correct. I suspect the correct version for the second word is dog.

Given the similarity to "sky" I wonder if there is sort of a pun there, too, with the sun behind the animal.

And Google Translate did a pretty good job with my clunky effort.

I use WordPerfect to transcribe signs in some other language when playing GeoGuessr. It works good enough to let me find out where I am in that game.

I know how to read the Cyrillic alphabet which is, I guess, close enough.

We get by with what we've got, right?!
