(13,469 posts)Aviary is one of the top restaurants in Chicago. Owners of Alinea, 3 michelin star place, opened it. It's well known in the restaurant world, even to this NYC girl. (I believe an outpost opened here in the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Columbus Circle.)
Just giving context to the the type of place it is. It's where the upper crusty cool types go.
I guess the Trumps aren't welcome anymore.
I can't say I approve of spitting on people. I have been spit on once by a stranger in NYC and it was extraordinarily upsetting. (I was just walking down the street. I assume it was somebody without all their faculties, and I didn't do anything about it.)
Having said that.... I totally and completely have sympathy for the spitter here.
