Everyone in this administration acts as though they are above the law. It's time to show them that the law applies to all, including them.

But they've taken the first step by voting to issue a subpoena a few minutes ago. And, fortunately, a couple of weeks ago, the House voted to allow Nadler to go directly to court to enforce subpoenas so that he doesn't have to go back to the full House for a vote (which was the normal procedure) so they're doing everything they're supposed to do the right way.

anyone who violated it would be punished - some people even lost their jobs. And, interestingly, the Administration held political appointees to a higher standard and cracked down on us harder than they did for career employees because they expected their appointees to be Caesar's wife and set the example for everyone.

Conway's behavior is outrageous by any standard. But by the standard of previous administrations (Republican and Democratic) it's out of the ballpark.

They asked if Conway was a civil servant what would happen to her and they said they would most likely be removed.

On edit: there was an example of violating 25 times but Conway has 11 violations on one report and 2 on another report.

Maybe not, as you said, after one or two violations. But any civil servant who so blatantly and repeatedly violated the Hatch Act would be gone. And a political appointee may be able to get away with violating it once and MAYBE, under extraordinary circumstances, twice. But no employee, whether career or political, would still have a job after what Conway pulled and they would have been gone a long time ago.

One of the nice things about tuning in late is that I was able to fast-forward through Jim Jordan's babbling and was able to replay Cumming telling him to shut the eff up.
