It doesn't take long to succumb to a heat stroke. I know. I was near dead from one before hubby realized & dumped the dogs water bowl on my head. I was setting up camp in 100+ heat. I was hooking up the water to the trailer & didn't even realize I was in trouble, other than I started feeling nauseous. I went under the awning & sat on the steps trying to feel better & catch my breath. I then keeled over & hubby saw me as I went down. Luckily, the first thing I did when we got to the camp site was put the dogs water out next to the steps, then roll out the awning.

Heat still impacts me to this day.

I lived in the south most of my early life, and didn't know until I was in my 30's that heat and dehydration can shut your kidneys down and kill you.

So sorry you experienced what you did, but so glad you survived it!!
