Okay, seriously. Why is this shit still going on?

It's clear as a bell. He's a traitor. He's a thief. He's a thug. He cares nothing for this country except to destroy it with all of his dictator pals.

We're still tiptoeing around impeachment, but fuck impeachment. Drag that bloated orange ass out of the White House and put it in prison where it belongs.

7. because of Mueller
Fri Jun 28, 2019, 04:19 PM
Jun 2019

Mueller took the "guideline" that the DOJ not indict with the same veracity as something written directly into the Constitution. He basically handed half an investigation over to the House Democrats and said "I can't go any farther."

While the Mueller report, IMO, clearly showed obstruction, the Democrats need more. I think Pelosi expected to be knee deep into the impeachment proceedings by now the the Dems, thinking the ball was in the end zone, found out they were only at the 50 yard line and now have to pick it up and run with it. Couple that with drumpf forcing Dems into court to (literally) find out where Hope Hicks office was, and the stall/delay tactics are working. for now.

edit: and also post #6. This the rethugs gave a shit about treason... dumpf would already be gone.

8. A Not Guilty Verdict for Trump in a Senate Trial
Fri Jun 28, 2019, 04:26 PM

Would be a huge victory for him during campaign season. It would take 20 Republican Senators plus every Democrat in the Senate to convict Trump. I don’t see any more than 5 Republicans who would vote him guilty.

The same thing he did with the Mueller Report, spin it as complete and total vindication. Personally I am hesitant to hand Trump that kind of political victory during election season. I prefer him under constant investigation, defensive and wounded so he’s easier to defeat at the polls.

Not impeaching him is worst. Also, I go crazy when it seems that most people have not heard of Lawrence Tribe and his suggestion.

Impeach the creature, and Barr, go public with all the criminal behaviour, don't send it to the Senate, the important thing is to set up the stage of his criminality, his treason. You don't send it to the Senate, only the Congress will issue a guilty verdict, and leave it at that, it will move many of those people who intend to support him today, he looses the election, he gets indicted.

Not doing that is worst, just like you pointed out.

31. After all of the evidence sees the light of day
Fri Jun 28, 2019, 06:32 PM
Jun 2019

Including:

The full Mueller Report...Obstruction of Justice counts.
The SDNY findings on cover-ups.
The State of New York findings onThe Trump Org.
The full record of fraud at the charity and Trump Univ.
The rape allegations.
The Teen USA dressing room invasions.
Jeff Epsteins child rape accomplices.
The counter-intelligence evidence NOT in Mueller Rpt.
The secret negotiations with Saudis, Korea, Russia.
The Trump Tower deal including huge bribes.
Money laundering using Trump properties.
Exposed tax and business records.
The most corrupt cabinet in history.
Violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution.

Impeachment is not limited to the Federal Code. "High crimes and misdemeanors can include actions outside the traditional judicial process. The House of Representatives should bring evidence and witnesses forward to make an exhaustive case for each of the above items, voting dozens of Articles of Impeachment. It is their Constitutional Obligation. Contrary to popular wisdom, it is good politics too.

Corrupt Republicans may well aquit on a vote, or cripple the rules of evidence to make it go away quickly. 40% of Americans will buy the lie that the whole thing is a partisan "witch hunt". They want a messiah emperor to protect them from the world's new realities.

Each senator who votes to aquit...ignoring overwhelming evidence...will have to defend that vote before an electorate that is younger, smarter, and tired of being lied to. A vote to aquit will be perilous for many of them. "Safe" GOP seats in the south and midwest can be in play soon. Backlash against the Trump/McConnel dynasty could leave the GOP the party of Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, the Dakotas, and a handful of southern states. An impeachment vote, could become a new litmus test that turns red states blue.

Remember, ten years ago, Democrats held 60 Senate seats. It can happen again.

19. Because there's no large-scale public uproar.
Fri Jun 28, 2019, 05:23 PM
Jun 2019

A couple of generations ago, I was part of a large protest movement that helped bring a stupid, pointless war to an early conclusion. The anti-Vietnam war movement was certainly not without its flaws and excesses, but without it, that memorial wall in D.C. would be a hell of a lot larger than it is today.

trump and his scumbag administration are breezing along, without much of anything in the way of meaningful public outcry. He's planning on hijacking the July 4 celebration in D.C. and making it all about himself. If there's any sort of large-scale counter-demonstration against his little vanity show, I have yet to hear about it.

Until we take some decisive action, we're at the mercy of the worst president this country has ever suffered under. Our elected officials aren't getting the job done, they're too busy concentrating on how NOT begin impeachment proceedings. Anybody else sick to death of this shit?

the Trump / Putin connection, collusion, conspiracy or whatever you wish to call it, is so much more obvious than the lie told by the liars that took us into the Iraq war. Even considering that I remembering Bush admitting that “Sure it was about oil”. Yet it seems that today they don’t even attempt to disguise the corruption.
It is a joke to Trump and Putin because the Democrats seem spineless or powerless to stop it, so they can absolutely shake it in our face.
What is the point of having laws if we do not enforce them? A lawless society is absolute chaos.
If it comes to pass that Democracy has lost and this fraud can pressure the Supreme Court to do his bidding and retain his power without suffering any consequences for his crimes then I fear our government, our society, has passed the point of no return, and like Climate Change, the end is closer than we think.
