Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele explains how to spot Trump's lies.

https://crooksandliars.com/2019/07/deadline-wh-panel-loses-it-over-michael?utm_source=social&utm_medium=twitter&utm_content=17724

So, Michael Steele listened to Nicolle Wallace's panel's discussion on birtherism, first against President Obama, and coming out since January with intensity against Candidate/Senator Kamala Harris, and then he gave us something slightly more nuanced about how to detect the lies.

-----

STEELE: Listening to clip on birtherism and everything else that the president says, America, here is your tell, whenever the president says, "Well, I've heard..." shut it down, stop it, call it a lie and move on. Because the next sentence, word, phrase out of his mouth will be a lie. I want to know who are all of these people talking to him, telling him this information he's spewing out? "Oh, I hear there were 500,000 people, not 50,000." I mean, You're correcting -- or at that moment he's correcting Putin when Putin said 25 million people that, presumably the president of the country should know how many people died in World War II and Trump comes back, "I hear it was 50 million." Stop. It. Press, don't write that story. It is a lie. Whenever he comes out with the "I heard..." or "People say..." that's a tell...
WALLACE: ...Or, "My friend Jimmy." Jimmy's never real. He doesn't know anyone named JIMMY!

STEELE: Jimmy doesn't exist! Jimmy is in his HEEEAAAAADDDD. Jimmy is running from THIS eyeball to THAT eyeball. Okay? Can you understand that? Lemme tell you where Jimmy plays! He's right here...this eyeball to that eyeball. That's the space, people.

At least I do.

On one hand we can use all the help we can get. The enemy of my enemy is my ally. So I appreciate the help, if not the person helping.

I will never respect Steele. Or Kristol, Frum, and others of the never Trump movement. Lets face it, Steele was their Uncle Tom, if there ever was one. Or their "black friend" they could show off being bequeathed the title of party chairman to "prove" how accommodating they were. And a part of him must have known that but he still went along with it. All while the racist Tea Party was ramping up, Trump was questioning Obama's BC, mass shootings happenings answered with NRA talking points.

a lie is coming or is being uttered. But his point that saying, “People are saying” or “I’ve heard blah, blah, blah” is a favorite device he uses to try to add weight or believability to what he is about to say is correct. Few reporters press him on who the mystery people are. When he says that, the very next question should be to ask who they are? When did he hear this? And they should press the point until he gets frustrated and gives an obviously snarky answer or makes up something that is clearly a lie. He is used to getting away with his worst lies without being confronted on the spot. That needs to change....even if they risk getting banned for a while. He thrives on attention, so eventually he will relent and let the person come back.

and they have said it, or some version of it.

thats the unfortunate part. the analysts and pundits are missing the most important factor in analyzing trump's words and actions.

just about everything he's said and done was initiated on talk radio, repeated over and over, unchallenged and uncorrected, until the base/dittoheads and he believe it.

sam nunberg told gabriel sherman for NY magazine 4/3/16 that in 2014 he "listened to 1000s of hours of talk radio". he said trump "was getting" his reports. that was the same year a russian troll said he "got a list of topics to write about".

roger stone was there then and was a long time user of talk radio going back to stopping recounts in florida in 2000. why was hannity's name redacted from the mueller report glossary when others in that boat just had their descriptions redacted?

the collusion is still happening under our noses, with the russians feeding talk radio, going back to at least 2008, limbaugh and hannity blowing it all over the country, fox doing the cartoon cliff notes, and trump following along and knowing his lies have already been blasted into the earholes of tens of millions of americans

dem reps must ask mueller about russian use of talk radio.

democrats have to put rw radio out of business with protests and boycotts, the limbaugh GOP will fall apart, and the analysts will finally stop analyzing symptoms

“The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to such a pass that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love, and in order to occupy and distract himself without love he gives way to passions and coarse pleasures, and sinks to bestiality in his vices, all from continual lying to other men and to himself.”

A mystery woman in trump’s life. Her name is Lotta People.

You’ll hear him talking about her and her input and her statements and messages to him. “Lotta People are saying...” and “there’s Lotta People saying... “

That’s his muse, I guess. He does pay attention to her. So she must be physically attractive in some way. No details on whether she lives with the White House Communication staff or the Mar-a-Lago staff or within the RNC or Pox Noise. And we’ve probably never seen her because she gets lost in the crowds. But her voice definitely makes it to trump’s ears. She probably has his private cell number.

Lotta People. If anyone has seen this woman, please notify the authorities!

It is always something the majority of people do know.

'Did you know Lincoln was a republican?'

(Yes, as a matter of fact I did)
'
'Most people don't know that'.

(Yes, most people do because the republican party calls itself 'The Party of Lincoln'.)
