Dear America: Wake the fuck up.

We have a dangerous/deadly/psychopath occupying the presidency.

We have a criminal Republican Party that will go along with any evil. Literally, ANY evil.

And we have a minority of hateful, vicious, incredibly ignorant people, who are now in control of America.

How did this happen? Gerrymandering, voter suppression, "lost" voter registrations, "lost ballots," physical intimidation, directing people to the wrong polling places, police (in some states) blocking roads to voting sites, laws against early voting, demanding to see long lost birth certificates, intentionally creating eight-hour-long voting lines, closing polling sites in "selected" districts ... damn ... do I really need to go on?

We know how countless black/brown/and "other" Americans are kept from voting, or having their votes ignored, "lost," or just plain stolen and shredded. We know how the Republican Party keeps a minority in power. We know that America is fucked until we can put an end to the criminal organization called the GOP and replace them with an honest, worthy opposition party.

And then add Russian interference into our elections, and what do we have?

We have a Republican majority that is, (with the help of our enemies), successfully fucking America, and trying to destroy the very concepts of democracy/individuality/personal choice/and freedom itself.

Those who vote to keep them in power are fools who are destroying their own lives. Those of us who vote against them are playing against difficult odds that we must overcome.

Perhaps, just maybe, if a massive number of us show up to overwhelm them at the polls, and therefore win the presidency, we will have pulled back a bit from the edge. But even with the presidency and the House, we won't win the Senate. Republicans have rigged more states than we can overcome at present. And that will prevent us from moving forward in so many ways. Especially in the courts. the Supreme Court included. (Remember that the Senate is controlled by some of the worst pricks imaginable.)

The road ahead of us is long, difficult, and probably very ugly. But no decent person can or should ignore it, avoid it, or give up and turn away.

I'll end this rant on a positive note. I believe that we, together, will eventually succeed in making the world a better place. Why? How? Call it "faith" or some such. I'm a devout agnostic, but my instincts and observations of the better attributes of human nature, lead me to believe that the laws of the universe are balanced, immutable, and perhaps even what we might call "sane."

The take over is complete. You know how everything Trump sez is a projection of what he is actually doing. From Democrats rigging the election, to Hillary's running a sex slave operation in the basement of a pizzeria.. He also said.. the American Dream is dead.

Yes, we are living in a horrible period.

But look at it this way. Did the human species survive for thousands of years, just to be destroyed by an arrogant/ignorant/ orange disease who spreads hatred and cruelty?

Doesn't seem likely. But then, who knows?

9. I pray your faith is rewarded

Election eve 2020 is going to be agony. And I'm concerned that Trump will refuse to leave, even if he's defeated by both the popular and electoral vote. Consider Russia and McConnell: we know Russia has targeted all 50 states for its hacking ventures. There are ways to limit their ability to do harmful damage to our election process, but McConnell has blocked legislative efforts to build the necessary network of cyber-security tools and stations to guarantee at least a fair chance of victory.

And everybody here worries that, given the power and opportunity to change votes, Putin's people will do so and give Trump the throne once again. But what if, instead, the Russians flood key states like California with bogus "votes" for the Democrat? Millions of bogus votes which are easily detected by existing cyber-security defenses. If the Democrat wins by millions of votes and the GOP -- thanks to Putin -- can then prove that millions of those votes were fraudulent, Trump wins and America will have to suffer through years, decades, of Corporate-fascist repression before it can fight back to pre-Trump democracy, with no guarantee of winning.

My concern is that Russia and McConnell -- who seems to be Putin's second favorite American -- look at the technology Russia possesses, they may determine that any changes made to the vote count by Russian intrusion could be easily caught and that, if Democratic votes are changed, Trump's victory would only ;last until the fraud is detected. But if the "fraud" was to give the Democrat millions of votes by non-existent people, its detection would help Trump and his Russian and corporate sponsors reclaim the throne.

Sorry for the bleakness. I won't be convinced my country remains mine until after the election, sufficiently after the election that Trump is ridden on a rail out of D.C. along with his crime family (including his present and past cabinet members) and supporters in the House and Senate. I am a Vietnam vet and have never been this afraid for my country and its freedoms.
