1. Joe seriously regrets all the free air time he gave Trump and speaking out routinely is his way of doing a mea culpa.

2. He and Cummings are tight. He officiated Joe and Mika's wedding.

I'm not sure that Joe regrets giving trump so much airtime. IIRC, he did a sorta, kinda walk back of his show's coverage of Trump (I think he said he covered Trump as a kind of oddity in the political system). Kind of weak tea, if you ask me.

I was aware that Cummings officiated at Joe and Mika's wedding but today he threw more light on his relationship with Cummings when they were both in Congress together.
