El Paso Shooter lived about 1mile from my home

Just a bit freaked out. My family is multi-racial and we have been many times to the closest Walmart to his home. We shop there alot for certain items.

He also attended my daughters' college at the same time. They did not know him.

Not been this creeped out since I found at we were at the mall that was attacked by terrorists in Nairobi on a day they did a walkthrough (Christmas Eve) before the actual attack.

Pretty upper middle class.

Kids move there because they have a great school district and literally one of the top 5 HS football programs in the country. Kyler Murray was the latest player of note to come out of the program.

I don't know where his family came from but those houses are new (less than 5 years old). Old Allen was known to be very much a red neck retreat, but that was decades ago. In this particular part of DFW Hispanics and unusually, South Asians flock to. Last 3 elections Collin County went from +30 red to BETO losing by just 20000 votes here.

Relatively speaking there is no crime and it is extremely peaceful and not noticeably racist ...

The shooter lived a posh life in a place that is pretty close to how we think of the American dream right, or left.
