it appears those workers in the released Dayton hospital photos MAY not have been employed at that hospital. Twitter is actively working to identify who they were (NOTE: It remains POSSIBLE these were staff members from another unit or shift, workers at an associated hospital or more senior administrative staff and not actors or other more malign explanations, so this part is rumour at this point. Hospitals administrators are all about PR, afterall):

(10,160 posts)On anyone who thought Cheney's and W's responses to the threat were pathetically incompetent. W and his children story reading while all hell was breaking lose. And where was Cheney hiding anyway? Stupid Cowards all of them.
But anytime I would bring up the incompetence of W and Darth Cheney, I got labeled a conspiracy theorist. When in fact they were both very incompetent and failed our country at a crucial moment.
I had no idea that the label was manipulated by KKKarl Rove. Figures.

They look like partygoers, happy-happy! Trump supporters rounded up from surrounding hospitals for a photo op.

Maybe this was why his visit was not immediately planned, since they needed to round up the actors? Don't forget, his descent on his golden escalator was surrounded by PAID supporters.

(102,229 posts)My words were careful: "apparently", "Twitter is reporting/investigating" (and as you see these posters have copied both Rucker and Rachel Maddow on this).
I am not on the ground. I am not a paid investigator. I never said it had been MSM-verified. NEVER>
Take it or ignore it.
It was made clear where Phil Rucker was reporting documented accounts of currently hosptialized El Paso victims not meeting with Trump versus the accusations vis-a-vis Dayton, Ohio hospital.
Tommy_Carcetti
(43,174 posts)Trump was elected thanks to weaponized false information spread over the internet.
We dont have to play that game here, because of anything we do post does turn out to be false it does not make us look good.
Im not immediately saying the Dayton claim was false, but were going to need a hell of a lot more to go off on as opposed to some random Twitter account and nothing else.

(17,984 posts)Sherryl Mc Henry, a long time, well respected News Anchor was shuttled off into a room in the Hospital, not allowed near Trump or the patients.
Word is now coming out from workers at the Hospital that all those smiling faces did not work at the Hospital, they showed up about 2 hours before Trump.
Did you see one photo that included Nan Whaley, the Mayor of Dayton or Sherrod Brown? They were both in the Hospital with him. Then an enraged Trump tweeted lies about what Sherrod and Nan actually said about his visit.
People who post here do not have to lie about Trump. He gives them more than enough material.

As of yesterday's visit, there were three patients still at MVH, all in different wards. Not all of them were shot. Some of the discharged patients were invited to attend, but chose not to. Not all of the patients pictured were involved in the District shooting.

(1,737 posts)It clearly shows the Dayton claim was from Twitter user who @ various media personalities to do their jobs.
Lawrence said last night that, he wouldn't be showing the propaganda photos, as reporters weren't allowed to go with Trump and the pictures are being released by the White House. Therefore, even those early reporting of workers flocking to Trump are reporting what they are being fed. We are Russia. We need to wake up and the MSM needs to wake up. We are being fed propaganda and the MSM should to do their jobs. This Trump administration needs to be fact checked on everything, even the smallest of claims. The White House shouldn't be the single source on anything. It's easy to interview workers and others for their input on what transpired.

(6,353 posts)...sure, we know they're obsessed with optics and have casted rallies/events in the past but I know this area. We're talking about Dayton. The city core is strong dem but the surrounding areas are pretty hard core republican.
I happened to be up at dayton airport early in the campaign when coincidentally trump (in his branded plane) was landing. You would have thought god himself was arriving given the reaction of people in the airport. Now I know not everyone in the airport was from dayton and there was still some novelty effect of his candidacy but still - the "energy" was palpable.
So when I see this pic, my first reaction is "forget it jake, this is dayton" (ref: Jack Nicholson's Chinatown).

Sorry, that does not remotely pass the smell test. It would open up the hospital to complete discrediting. Also, multiple 'real' nurses, real employees would have called bullshit by now. This entire thing is based off a Tweet by an anonymous account pushing a dodgy conspiracy theory.
hlthe2b
(102,229 posts)associated hospital. That some of them were hospital administration is not unexpected. They are all about PR, after all. But this does nothing to prove or disprove that the photo may reflect a staged event with workers not reflecting the actual care-givers.
My sister works in a large ED for a very well known large chain of hospitals and this happens all the time. It infuriates the actual care-givers because they often are doing it to reap benefit from celebrity patients purely for PR value and frequently do so while interfering with ACTUAL patient care. When this happens they do complain--given THEIR concern is for patient care-- and it is hardly beyond the realm that others including media hear about it.

(43,330 posts)employees and/or paid actors. That is what the Twitter account is pushing.
Obviously some senior staff would show up, and also it stands to reason that pro-Rump workers at the hospital would flock to the orange bloat.
I am not ignoring anything. I am applying Occam's razor and also discernment. I leave anonymously-pushed, (and backed up with nothing of concrete evidence) Twitter conspiracy theories for others to choose to buy into.

Nan Whaley said everyone was getting along until Trump decided to come, then people started to split into pro- and anti-Trump groups. She said she was glad Trump did not go to the Oregon District because there were a lot of people on both sides and the potential for confrontations was high.
