If we are in recession during the Presidential election how bad will Trump get crushed?

With a "good economy" he is struggling! Take that away and we could see a blue tidal wave of epic proportions! I predict we would win Texas, Utah, Arizona, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Utah, Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, Kansas and Indiana plus the more predictable blue states.

My prediction as I think Trump would lose at least 7 points in each state from his current numbers if we are in a recession:

If we barely beat Trump and then a recession hits the Dem President will get blamed. If we don't get one early and Trump wins then he will get blamed but we would still be screwed!!!! There are no great scenarios but a recession in the next 12 months is clearly the best thing that can happen to the US.
