It truly really does not matter who the Democrats nominate for president.

If Trump wins, it will be because too many Americans are comfortable with xenophobia, racism, sexism, and having a complete immoral, unethical, criminal buffoon as president. A Trump victory is an indictment on his voters.

It's not about the Democrats moving too far to the left or a candidate's age, sex, race, etc. Every single Democrat running is a better human being than Trump. Someone that your kid can look up to and be inspired by.

I don't want to hear any post-election analysis about the "likeability" of the Dem nominee or that they didn't do enough to reach out to Trump voters. Fuck that bullshit. The man is a fucking incompetent asshole, criminal, and fraud, and people that vote for him are assholes, pure and simple.

Vice President that can get the most voters to the polls is the best ticket.

I’m told that ticket is Biden-Harris

It was very obvious who and what Trump was during the runup to the 2016 catastrophe, yet he still slithered in.

I fear that we will have to win by a landslide to even really win!

Trump is everything described. And yes, his assholian base will still turn out to vote for him. Others who were deceived and misguided and would consider voting against him in 2020 will determine the outcome of the election.

They will do absolutely anything to please their master.

If Congress passed a bill making it illegal to drink liquid drain cleaner, they would YouTube themselves laughing while they chug-a-lug full bottles of Drano. And I really wish Congress would do that.

and his racism and sexism, it won't matter. Trump is uniting Democrats and we need to use him to drive up turnout on our side - we have more people and the moderates will be turned off by the rampant racism and sexism of Trump.

In 2016, there was so much Trump corruption and scandal already out there and the media and Clinton focused on way too many of them.

The guy that ran two campaigns against David Duke made some great points - in 1990 for Senate, they ran on the issues and Duke's corruption and his racism. The lack of focus led to a small Democratic win of about 10 points. The next year, Duke ran again and for governor and this time they (the Democrats) focused just on Duke's racism and won by 22 points, or more than double the margin. And, this was in red southern state Louisiana.

Focus on RACISM and SEXISM

Yes, with Trump you have fraud, taxes, horrible policies, scandalous deregulation, corruption, cronyism, nepotism, collusion with Russia and others, etc. However, that's too much info for the average voter. All those scandals will be given equal footing to a Biden gaffe or a Warren's heritage or similar.

And it will be that candidate's supporters who start the likeability nonsense.

Good and decent are being shoved out for darkness and insanity. People the entire world over are moving in favor of fascism and dictatorships, white supremacism and racism over freedom and progress. It's gonna take a lot to sort out this mess. I'm personally in favor of killing the head vampire but that could take a lot of time and effort to do so.

...would be someone like a Jon Tester, the corpulent Senator from Montana? Not the most controversial or admittingly, not the most attractive, but someone that was willing to speak his mind and tell people why he is a Democrat. I thought someone like that might be a good choice for Democrats.

I think any of the Democrats should beat Trump. They need to maintain the Obama coalition, in my opinion, however.

If that's your goal, then someone from a state with fewer than 5,000 African Americans out of a population of 1 million ( the smallest number of African Americans of any state) isn't going to cut it.

I probably unfairly used Tester as an example. Of course, he is not going to run for President. But, my point being, that it probably doesn't matter who the Democrats nominate. People will vote for or against the incumbent. For whatever reason they decide to vote?

Putin and Bibi are working on it as speak - including malware that can electronically switch votes (strongly suspected to have been used already, mainly by way of authentic-looking e-mails that election officials themselves unwittingly activate).

We ignore these machinations at our peril.
