And there's some Republican Senate retirements as well. If it looks like your party is going to regain/maintain power, it's not likely that you'd want to leave just yet. Some of the retirements in the Senate seem to be for age/health reasons, of course, but the House retirements seem like the Republicans may not be very confident about winning back the House and are cashing out while they can.

I know that Lamar Alexander (R-TN) has been there for some time and is stepping down for unknown reasons (age?) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA) is stepping down due to health reasons. Georgia will actually now have both of its seats in contention in 2020, which gives us an unexpected pickup opportunity.
