Hello
I apparently posted something that a jury found to be offensive. I apologize. I meant no disrespect. My intention was to point out that Mr. Ryan has for better or worse accessed governmental programs which he now wants to cut. I personally find this appalling.
I will try very hard in future to edit my posts more carefully.
For those of you who want to know what my positions are in general you can read my introduction statement.
Sincerely
Wolfman 24

Don't take the jury decisions too much to heart unless it becomes a pattern.

Hello
Although I was born in this country I was brought up German American and as some of you may know Europeans have a different way of dealing with things especially social issues.
I was brought up that whenever I discover that I have given offense real or imagined, I should apologize for it. This may seemed wacked but it is how I grew up and so of course I think it is best. This is why I said in my welcome post that I will try never to call someone names or intentionally insult them. Not only is it counter productive but unkind.
On the other hand I was also taught that if a person has to be told to apologize, that person does not believe that they have done anything wrong and are doing either to calm people down or because they have been told to. In this case my upbringing is quite different. An apology such as this is not sincere and the offense is most likely to be repeated. As such it is the option of the person being apologized to whether they will accept it or not. My personal preference is to try and come to some kind of understanding with the person who offended but not accept the apology.
For anybody who thinks that my willingness to make apologies makes me a whimp or something like that please remember I was an environmental regulator for the feds and the State of Michigan for over 21 years. And I can assure you Eco-cops are not whimps.
Thanks again

It's ok.
But thanks for the apology.

It's all good. I didn't see the hidden post, but if you are passionate you are bound to step on some toes. This is a great place to learn a whole lot, so I hope you stick around.
