Christianity. After 600 years of anti Hindu religious repression first by the Muslim Moguls and then 100 years under the British, Hindu Indians are kinda fed up.

I knew a Catholic Indian women at work. She was a nice person in a lot of ways but was very sensitive when I asked if she was Catholic. Her cubicle was filled with votive post cards of the Virgin Mary.

Indian Christians live mostly on the west coast of India in Maharashta and Karnataka. Goa in Karnataka is the site of early Christian colonies from the first to the third centuries. The trouble between Catholic and Evangelical protestants is in Uttar Pradesh where Christians do not have a history of settlement. They are seen as interlopers, especially evangelicals.
