I haven't been here as much lately and so likely missed some really great threads on this, but I'm dyin' to know.
I think it could be Dan Coats. Is that what most of us think?

(16,616 posts)said the whistleblower was a "partisan" meaning Democrat. Other names that have been tossed out there are Sue Gordon and John Bolton.
I still lean towards Dan Coats, and place that within the context of how badly he seemed to want to get Sue Gordon out of there, as if to protect her.
EDIT: Shit, I've been misspelling Dan Coats name for two days!

(21,528 posts)he just said it was a "partisan" person because that's how he talks. Doesn't matter if it was karl marx or ronald reagan, he just says it was "partisan" and the media goes "oh, well then i guess it is just an angry democrat".

(32,579 posts)The whistleblower's report was made back in July, I think. Bolton still brown-nosing back then. Whoever wrote the report had a high security clearance and good understanding of how the intelligence community would proceed with it. It sure looks like Dan Coats or Sue Gordon, or maybe it was somebody who's already retired.
