It is usually a salad with chopped lettuce, bacon, sometimes chicken, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, avocado and usually a vinaigrette dressing. Pretty yummy. Sometimes it is called a Chef's salad.

Ryan invented the "Cob" salad, so named because of the corn cobs thrown in along with the spoiled, rotting old vegetables and table scraps in order to provide texture. It was an inexpensive meal for the help.

The joke is that Ryan claimed to have run a sub-three-hour marathon, when he only ever ran one marathon, and he ran it in 4:01:and change, a substantial difference. Ryan, in other words, is the kind of pathological liar who will make things up like a sub-three hour marathon time, or, as the character in Curb your Enthusiasm, that his grandfather invented the Cobb Salad.

All in the same thread?!

A little less startch in the collars this week, folks...

It's a satirical pop culture reference in reference to the Paul Ryan marathon claim that is clearly lost on every single individual whose responded thusfar.

Most likely named after the owner of the restaurant, Robert Howard Cobb

I see no mention of anyone from Wisconsin.

This guy may actually be the EXACT kind of liar that Al Gore was accused of being
