Nancy Pelosi became Speaker again because of a Blue Wave in 2018 that voted for justice

and accountability against Trump.
If she delivers neither, then what are our chances in 2020?
Of holding the House?
Of gaining the Senate?
Of winning the White House?

We are sacrificing our Party's authenticity, goodwill, and public trust by not holding Trump accountable for his crimes.
All for some mythical unicorn of a moderate Republican voter in a swing district that will never vote for a Democrat.

The GOP investigated Whitewater, impeached Clinton, voted 50 times to repeal Obamacare, knowing Obama would not sign the bill, then they spent years on Benghazi and Hillary's emails, because they told their base it was the right thing to do, period. Then they just went ahead and did it.

We need to act on what's right, and what we stand for, regardless of polling, public opinion, and political perceptions.

"Well, the Democrats never impeached me because I never broke the law or did anything wrong. Because if I had, they would have impeached me. They hate me you know." or something like that Trump will say over and over.

Unless Democrats act, and they must act alone, to protect our nation Trump will remain above the law, and who knows what will happen to us all because of that.

Keep that powder dry and never ever ever use it no mater what, because it might be needed someday. Even if they kill you, make sure you save the powder, as someone might need it to protect themselves from being killed.

5. Republicans, including voters, have decided that winning is more important than the law.

Trump’s approval rating remains extremely high among Republicans. Either they do not believe he has broken any laws, or they know he has broken laws but they do not care because he is in their Party. Anything he does is okay with them because they perceive him as winning over the Democrats, and winning is everything and if you have to lie, heat, and steal to do it that’s okay because it’s their person doing the lying, cheating, and stealing. Reverse the party, and Republicans would be up in arms over the same actions.

Given today’s political divide and the extraordinary legal protection the DOJ has given to Trump, I doubt that anything will bring him down before 2020, even the latest whistleblower complaint, because his media will spin it as absolutely normal and just opposition research on a political opponent. We know Republicans will do nothing to curb Trump’s lawlessness. Either they are afraid to speak out because they are afraid of his power, or they just aren’t bothering to speak out because they know the 2020 election is already rigged for Trump’s reelection and the Senate majority. I’m beginning to believe the latter.

7. She also became Speaker because a lot of purple districts became blue

because of things like health care, women's rights, etc.

And many of the new Reps in these centrist districts aren't on board with impeachment yet. The only thing worse than our current situation would be losing the House, too.
