I bet Trump would resign IMMEDIATELY, if...

Nancy and the Dems were to offer him a deal NOT to further investigate his finances, or prosecute him once he's out of office.

He hates the job and will never do the work required of a real President.

He has no policies or agenda he wants for the country.

He's already gotten what he wanted: ATTENTION. NOTORIETY. (Now history can't possibly ignore Donald Trump!)

He's been busted, he's confessed - there's hard evidence of a crime that's easy to explain and understand.

He'll settle for resignation, just like (contrary to what he claims) he almost always settles his lawsuits.

...his own stupidity.

Law enforcers have never been able to stop him in all his 70+ years huh

3. I certainly think

that resignation is his best option and I would gladly accept it.

It should be floated. Maybe he will realize that it is the only winning he has left.

TRUMP: Now's the time to RESIGN!

6. Trump is a wimp and a coward. He will hide and let his lawyers surrender his presidency.

He's going to lose this fight - and it can only get a lot uglier for him.

5. No one's in a position to offer him that sort of deal. Pence can't, because there's evidence

Pence could also be impeached.

And no one in the federal government could stop state attorneys general from going after Trump.

11. That is a BIG maybe.

If he did leave we will then need to deal with Pence and the many many trump boot lickers who he put in for many years. It is not just him anymore and he made damn sure of that. Unless we are able to find the slim chance of getting his appointed scum out before they even further destroy this country we are still screwed.

for the cult of personality hardcore trumpeters seem to desperately need.

14. We could tell him "no more congressional investigation" but he would still

be subject, presumably, to indictment by individual AGs, such as SDNY, IRS, etc.. I wonder if he'd settle for that. I'm not in favor of letting him off the hook. There's blood in the water now.

16. I'm not sure I'm in favor of going that route...

I just think (despite some very public bitching/play acting) he would gladly take up that offer and consider himself one lucky crook.

20. No deals

That is the mistake this country continuously makes. Every time we forgive or make a deal the scum of our country get more brazen and exponentially more dangerous. This country will not heal until we humiliate, prosecute, and rain down the wrath of justice on those who mess with our democracy.

This is our final stand. If we don't get this motherfucker and his minions removed and jailed, we will easily find ourselves living under an authoritarian regime. Democracy will become nothing more than a fading image only seen through a review mirror.

No mercy. No deals. No exceptions!

21. Misreading Trump: lost count of how often that has happened here

He's not going to "fold". He'll fight and fight and fight. And there is a good chance he'll avoid conviction by the Senate.
