'Make the time, or quit': Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demands lawmakers read the bombshell 9-page whistleblower report after some said they didn't look at it yet

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York derided US senators for not having read the declassified version of the whistleblower complaint by Thursday afternoon.

Several senators cited numerous reasons for not reading the nearly nine-page complaint, which was released earlier in the morning.

"There is almost no excuse for a member of Congress to have not read the whistleblower report by now," Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter. "It's a few pages. This is literally our jobs. If you don't have the commitment to be here and do the work, cut your fancy fundraisers & make the time, or quit."

...if you don't know anything. (Which is actually a form of self imposed blindness) If they read it, they know they have to be prepared to feign a reaction dictated by Moscow Mitch and the GOP Trumpublicans. The reaction of "nothing to see here" and if they read it, it will be harder to convince themselves, to block out their conscience, block out their patriotism, and go on to defend Trump in front of a camera. Much easier to turn on Fox News to be soothed by Hannity and Ingram, and others that its all just a part of a Democratic deep state coup, and they don't have to read it now.

Of course most of them are likely lying when they say they haven't read it. They're just waiting for those final talking points to hit their inboxes before commenting.

You know that AOC is an actual member of the House of Representatives, right? She gets to say things about what they do? Even if you don't like it?

But, do you think she's wrong about this?

She has a lot to learn. Personally speaking, I'm not impressed at all. Her close association with anti-Democratic party groups like "Justice Democrats" and her association with divisive individuals like Cenk Uygur are also things that make me uncomfortable.

Or they're lying liars about being to busy to read it.

Or maybe they were ordered not to read it, to wait for the cliff notes version. Maybe Barr's working on that this weekend! It will include talking points.

Good for AOC calling them out.

as a new born babe. Of course, they’ve read it. Not only read it but had it explained to them by staffers who could help them understand it in case they were in doubt about it’s implications. They had to deny reading it just a little while longer so they could feign ignorance of its contents. AND they could receive word what their official response would be. Talking points, doncha know.

Their go to response has to be “whistleblower report? What report?” Play dumb and act like it is not important enough to bother reading. That way when their constituents hear their comments, they, too, can assume it is a big nothing burger. Delay, delay, delay until somebody gives them the way they are to handle it. It’s a time honored method but we’re on to them and it won’t work this time. The cat is pretty much out of the bag, gentlemen. Time to face the music. Cue the orchestra.
