who is demonstrably & steadily improving a disastrous economy,
while strengthening and improving our health care crisis,
who offed Osama Bin Laden in his spare time,
and who is smart as a whip, and gracious as a silk glove ...
and (on the other hand) a Vulture Capitalist who has ruined the
lives of millions of Americans for profit, chosen a VP who is a
compulsive liar, and who's a member of a weird religious cult ...
Gee, I wonder which of these I will choose?

On the other hand, some might say you are lying about an improving economy, an improving health care system, and Obama being gracious. I wonder who they might be?

(13,574 posts)about what Robme is up against. I said, Romney promised 12 million new jobs but he doesn't say where. My guess is China.
Then I steal a little from Matt Tiabbi. His (Romney) M.O. is to run up massive debt in the companies he takes over, cash in and then leave it to someone else to pay the bills. Kind of like when the mob took over the bar in Goodfellas. They paid $200 a case for booze going in the front door and sold it out the back door for $100. It didn't matter to them because it was all profit. "It was beautiful!"

(13,574 posts)also did a lot of good. And how Romney started several companies. I didn't point out that Staples is a job eater, as this woman well knows from example in our town.
She goes on to say nothing could be worse than the last four years and we have to stop spending money we don't have. Not much point in pursuing the debate with her. It's amazing she thinks any of that will happen. They have precisely the two candidates that are about the most unlikely to cut spending.
What they don't realize is what always happens. They aren't going to risk pissing too many people off so even if Democrats don't stop them, they will avoid making the big cuts. Too much of the tax money goes into pockets at the top anyway. Looting is the goal and they need to stay in office for as long as possible.

(6,160 posts)The last four years could have been better had Republicans in Congress done what was best for this country. But they set out from the beginning to stop anything Obama proposed.
Ask her has she heard of the American Jobs Act?
Ask her did she take that same position on spending about two unfunded wars and tax cuts during the Bush years.
People do not think!

(940 posts)if it was wise or not but Obama Administration put the two unfunded wars, the unfunded Medicare part D, the unfunded tax cuts on the books, to the tune of my best guest 4 trillion?, now the repubs are counting that spending on Obama as well. No bush never happen.

(34,374 posts)Because what the mob did to that guy's bar seems exactly like what Bain does to companies--load them up with debt, squeeze every last dollar from the business, and when there's nothing left burn it down for insurance money. Except Bain can do it legally. What's the difference?
