One of The best parts of this is getting to say I told you so.
Most all of us have some Trumpers in our lives.
Whether in our families, extended families, friends, workmates, etc. Of course, some have more than others. But, for everyone, they are still inescapable. And for the last three years, I’ve remained mostly silent. When politics comes up around them, I would always leave the room or change the subject. But, NOT ANYMORE. I love hearing them twist themselves into knots trying to explain their Orange King’s Ukraine scandal. It has been absolutely delicious at times. But, I’m still bidening my time (see the clever thing I did there). I just say that it’s going to be interesting to see how it all turns out if there’s a lot more incriminating texts, interviews, whistleblowers, etc. All the time I thinking, I can’t wait to scream at you, I TOLD YOU SO, YOU STUPID SCHMUCK! We all told you that he was a con man. A compulsive liar. A compulsive cheater. A malignant narcissist with psychotic tendencies. And he never tried to hide it from the day he came down that escalator with paid “fans” cheering. He mocked the disabled. He made juvenile comments and nicknames about opponents. He showed no knowledge or interest in policy or governmental institutions. He repeatedly showed that he was the least qualified presidential nominee in history. And yet, you embraced him. Or, at least, chose him over the most qualified candidate in history. But, egads, she was a woman. And not just any woman but the right wing demonized woman from the family that you loved to hate, the Clintons. Every time that Trump did or said something horrific (which has been almost daily), you had the fallback position that “well, at least he’s not Hillary”. Yes, of course, because with her “hidden and deleted” emails she might have been... I’m waiting... you mean she might have been colluding with our enemies to benefit herself either financially or politically? 😆 Oh, sweet irony, you are indeed awesome. How fantastic will it be if Trump and his mob family and criminal cabal and feckless, enabling Republican Party are brought down for DOING the actual things that they feared Hillary might do? That’s when all of us get to stop holding our tongues. That’s when we run to all of our social media pages. We run to send out emails and texts and phone calls to the Trumpers we know and finally yell: “WE TOLD YOU SO, YOU STUPID ASS MOTHER FUCKERS”!!! We have earned that I told you so. And, by damn, I’m gonna give it to them. (Then, I will gently console them and say they didn’t mean to do it, blah blah blah...because I’m a bigger, better person and as a loving caring liberal...I will want to help heal the nation). But not before I scream at their stupid asses just one delicious 😋 time.

24. Some would say, and I agree,...
that sticking exclusively to the high ground helped get us in this mess. The days of kumbaya have damn near ruined us. Use to be, the Democratic Party had no qualms about kicking an opponent in the genitals when necessary. I miss that old party. And there's no forgiveness in my heart for those who nearly turned us into a fascist kleptocracy an may yet succeed. They'll get no quarter from me.

8. The irony is that while tRump
is desperately searching for (non existant) dirt on the Bidens, his son in law is deep in corruption. The Kushner family was deeply in debt for that mistake they bought at 666 in New York. Suddenly, miraculously Jared was given the post without top security clearance, of special assistant to tRump. Then he flew numerous times to Saudi Arabia, and WOW, all the money problems were solved! Maybe someone should investigate Kushner?

I know it's a bit petty, but I agree with you. I know they'll never admit it, but I look forward to them all knowing that they were duped. I hope (and I know it's a long shot) that they might learn not to be taken in so easily next time. |

12. And I don't like feeling angry every day - that's not a good feeling
But it seems like every single day there's a new outrage - and it absolutely boggles the mind that there are these deluded people who actually can't see it, when everything that comes out of his mouth and every decision, every ridiculous boast or brag is as offensive - and damaging to this country, citizens and allies - as it can possibly be.

13. I know what you mean, Rhiannon
My kids get annoyed with my husband and me because we're always talking politics, and we're always angry about something. But I guess the alternative is being uninformed, and there are too many uninformed people in this country as it is, which is one of the reasons we're in this mess in the first place.

16. Fortunately, most people I know feel the way that we do
And even people who I've met for the first time tend to bring up this horror show, it's just so pervasive. Though there are a couple of women who I've known and liked for years who overheard me and another woman I know discussing Trump's latest offense and they agreed with each other that "he's doing a good job!" I like to think that they're just uninformed and and it was neither the time or place for an argument, but I find I haven't thought of them the same way since. They agreed with each other that they watch FOX News - enough said. But it's got to be impossible to avoid no matter where you turn these days. Last month I got together with a group of my oldest friends - and the couple from Quebec were ranting to me about how horrible Trump is!

14. Don't be silent! Politics is peoples' lives.
“Avoiding politics” is a Republican talking point.
Republicans don’t want you to talk politics. Especially now. Never skip talking about your values. Politics is your values. It’s critical to who you are. And it is about peoples’ lives. Talk about politics as much as you can. |

19. Putin wants America divided against itself
It's one of the reasons he installed his asset in the White House.
For the millions of otherwise normal people who were conned into embracing Donald Trump, it will be very difficult to admit to themselves they were conned and played for a fool. It will be even harder to admit that to others -- especially to "libtards" on the other side of the battle lines. Not everyone is big enough of a person to eat that humble pie, which is a necessary first step in the reconciliation America so desperately needs to move forward in working together for our common interests. A great man once said "A house divided against itself cannot stand." That was true for Abraham Lincoln, and it still applies today. If that humble pie is being shoved in the faces of people rather than voluntarily eaten, the bitter divisiveness will be hardened with no reconciliation. And Vlad Putin wins, even after Trump is gone. |

26. I hear you. I get it.
But the actions of his admin, the Rethuglican party and all their minions are unforgivable. Through all the shit they've pulled over the years, I never questioned their loyalty to the country. To the Constitution. To the very idea of America. Now it's obvious they'd sell out all of that in a heartbeat, and cheaply too. I'm in with healing the nation for practical reasons, but I will never, ever forgive these bastards. Fuck them. All of them.

and in a big big way. I'd give them an admonishment to never ever ever ever get suckered again by a tyrannical con man. Surely theyb can learn gain some grace from their foolish folly by LEARNING SOMETHING? And by using it as a lesson in ethical morality, decenbcy, and honor.
