When have you ever seen a police union endorse a democrat? That union's endorsement is a non event, IMO, it will only harden opposition to Trump among those that see police often over-stepping their authority and often lying to cover that up.

and the police unions always endorsed them. We need to recognize that police unions are not our friends, they often stand counter to everything that we believe in and fight for. Trump did not appear out of thin air, the police unions should well know of his lack of morals and corruption, yet they enthusiastically endorsed him.

They are there to protect scumbag cops and preserve the status quo (ie protecting property over people). Authoritarian to the core. Fuck 'em. (I say this as a very strong supporter of workers' rights and the idea of organized labor as a radical force for positive change in society)
