Considering how lit up the Tea Baggers got about that, and the undisguised glee Republicans had in repeating "cut and run" every time someone suggested that endless imperial occupations may not be a good or sustainable idea, there's no reason we shouldn't use the exact same terminology. We'll see if the media are still comfortable with squawking "cut and run" now that it's happening right in front of them.

Those special forces guys were perfectly content letting the kurds wreck shop all over ISIS for the sake of just chillin on an american military base...cause all the State actors involved knew damn well that you're NOT gonna open fire on an american special forces position(or the people they trained) without a goddam US Naval air strike as a controlled response as a kind of quid pro quo.

In less than a day, trump pretty much destroyed that standing rule, and fucked over the best ally we had in the region...this is to say nothing about how our own special forces people are supposed to extricate themselves from what is now IMMEDIATELY an active warzone with basically NO advance notice..
