Trump has awarded next years G-7 summit of world leaders to his Miami-area resort, the White House said
The US has laws banning giving bribes. And before we turned into a 3rd-world dictatorship, they were actually enforced (at least when abuses were discovered).
My question: how many of the other G-7 countries would be prohibited by their own laws from attending the summit, given that they would be publicly giving money directly to Trump?

(1,846 posts)What a loophole! An argument could be said that by not impeaching and removing him from office, Congress is implicitly giving consent.
This is obviously an impeachable offense. My question is how strong are the laws against giving bribes in the other six countries? I.e. he could give a G-7 summit and have nobody show up.

Although failure to impeach amounts to the same thing, as the only enforcement of this section is congress through impeachment.

(1,846 posts)I am beyond pissed Congress didn't impeach and remove him the day he took office w/out having released his taxes or actually put his investments into a blind trust. He was obviously corrupt the day he took office.
