I believe the Democratic party better represents my views of morality, the world, and my own best self interest. Obama's the party's nominee and stands on the party's platform. If I had to self-label myself anything, I'm a Progressive.

I generally support Democrats because they usually match my personal values more closely than other parties.

I vote against Republicans every chance I get.

I am a Democrat these days not just because I support (most) Democratic positions, but because I believe that the Republican Party and its Tea Party faction have lost touch with reality and are incapable of governing competently.

I was a grumpy Hillary supporter who felt that the senator from Illinois needed a bit more seasoning before the big time, but fell into line after primary season and campaigned for him. By and large, I've not only been pleasantly surprised by the President and my only current beef with him was his naivete about trying to be bi-partisan with the Republicans so long during his first term (The President seems to have recovered from that thinking).
