Doral has gone from "at cost" to "free."

Doral in Miami would have been the best place to hold the G-7, and free, but too much heat from the Do Nothing Radical Left Democrats & their Partner, the Fake News Media! I’m surprised that they allow me to give up my $400,000 Plus Presidential Salary! We’ll find someplace else!

Because he pays $0 a year in taxes.

So the $400k is a real $400k.

Of course he no doubt donates it to a Trump charity where he probably draws an $800k salary from it.

$Millions in renovations to Doral would have been needed to make it suitable for the G7 Summit. They do not have the needed number of suites. Trump would have said, "Look, no charge to the attendees, totally free." while the taxpayers footed the $50 Million bill to upgrade his rooms, upgrade his banquet facilities, and to upgrade his meeting rooms.

This was a scam, glad the Republicans put a stop to it. But Trump has been self dealing since the day he took office and they've done nothing to stop it.

would be built just for occasion and then removed and replaced by a new golf course, as Stephanie Rule suggested on Friday.

such an event at your hotel? An obvious personal conflict of interest to all but the stupidest among us...I guess that tells all of us quite a bit about you...

How about you make all your golfing trips free? Not charging the Secret Service for golf carts would be a good start. I haven't seen an itemized accounting lately, but I'd bet that 400k salary wouldn't cover that one expense.

1)Doral is a golf resort in Florida.
2)G7 summit is in June.
3)Busy season for resorts in Florida? NOT June!!

Tourists/snowbirds flock to Florida in the winter. That's when Florida resorts make their money.

Tourists/snowbirds avoid Florida in June, 'cause it's friggin hot and humid.

Most resorts lose money during the off season. Unbooked rooms make $0. So if you can book a large number of rooms, even "at cost", you're way ahead.

I'll bet every single resort in Florida would gladly take a deal where they merely "break even" for the month of June.
