(2,500 posts)by the numbers of white voters of the repub party that we all can't wait to do away with minimum wage and employment benefits. I guarantee that a good dose of 19th century wages and living standards will turn their heads around quick. But you'd think that's what some of them want.

(53,661 posts)Keep half the work force at home barefoot and pregnant. No benefits, no need to budget for child care, house keeper or gardeners for most people.
Eliminate the education, travel or clothing costs needed for women to work outside the home. No world but bearing and rearing children and also taking care of the home. If one's life is restricted to that, all of those costs go away.
If one's spouse can afford to pay for some attentional household workers, Queen Ann can ride horses. This will solve the problem for unmarried women. They can work for room and board.
By their reasoning, this will give more work for men and improve the economic numbers. Really, isn't that the plan?
