(4,341 posts)I have always been wary of those people who are out there preaching their religion day after day, and the same with all those who wear the USA flag in their lapels, like republicans love to do (Democrats were kind of forced to do it as well to shut republicans about it), why do you have to talk about god and behave like you are purer than everyone else? or wear a flag on your lapel? Are you trying to convince yourself? I know republicans are trying and fooling their followers.
I remember when Obama was President, some republican was being interviewed by Anderson Cooper, and the guy was going on and on about Obama not having had the USA flag in his lapel, what kind of patriotic message was Obama sending? Anderson noticed the guy was not wearing one, so he pointed it out, of course the guy went into a pretzel trying to explain why it was different to him than Obama...such hypocrites!
I know a lot of people who go to church and thump their chests while praying, they salute you with god bless you, and then they go and do horrible things to their families and betray their friends. We see that a lot from republicans.

Small thoughtful things, smiling, speaking to a person brings a smile.
Seeing an older person or young Mother struggling to find a quarter to put in the grocery carts, giving them your basket, asking them to pass it along. Amazing how little things can add up.

The gravity of the truth is the reason it may never see the light of day. If "conservative" Americans realized just how corrupt their institutions truly were, and the mind games that have been played on them, the resulting chaos would probably tear us asunder.
To me, it's the only way this Republic will survive.

Turning your public service job into a money making scheme is unacceptable. Now they will do anything to keep the money faucet turned on because being without wealth would be debasing their twisted look on life in America.

(2,062 posts)The GOP has now become the party of renegades. I really do believe that, if truth be told, the GOP has had enough of this democracy thing. So, saving our democracy is solely up to the Democrats now, I fear.
