Lindsay would be an idea target for a sick asshole like Trump. Trump will reduce a person that John McCain admired to nothing, but that won't be enough for Trump, he in the end will demolish Lindsay, because in Trump's sick mind, that kills off memories of John McCain defying him.

Maybe what Trump has on Lindsay is something that Trump can plausibly soil McCain with, even if McCain just glancingly knew about it, Trump and his chronies will take McCain down with Lindsay.

Lindsay Graham can end all this by ripping his shirt open scarlet letter style and telling Trump that he can't destroy anyone.
