Obama's credit card was declined in 2000 and he just recently stopped paying student loans.

To me that says a lot. (on edit: about the fact that he's a regular person like most of us!)

I just heard the credit card story for the first time yesterday (if you don't know it, in 2000 his card was declined trying to get to the Dem convention).

I did already that he was still paying his student loans until his book sales came in. And you know, I think someone like that understands what people are going through in regards to bills.

I don't think poorly of those who are born wealthy, but when they espouse the nonsense that Mitt Romney does, without having any idea of how his own plans would affect those who AREN'T wealthy---that makes me feel bad for people who are supporting him. He has not a clue.

I like the idea of having a president who knows what it's like not to be able to afford something.

2. LOL, it's not news. That's why this is in General Discussion and not Latest Breaking News.

I just recently heard the story and thought others may not know about it.

Oh and, I wasn't saying it because it is a bad thing that his credit card got declined---a lot of good, hardworking people have their cards declined in their lives.

To me that just shows that he's a regular person, that was my point for posting.

He's Been There.

He's Been Where We've Been.

That's why I believe in him.
That's ALSO why it frustrates me when he has the power to disintegrate the Conservative Movement & the Republican Party but won't fully unleash it.
His background shows me he has all the credentials to get the job done.
