Julian Assange bail backers urged to convince him to leave embassy

The high-profile bail backers of Julian Assange should persuade the WikiLeaks founder 'to surrender himself to the UK authorities', the chief magistrate has said ...

Chief Magistrate Howard Riddle said the sureties should be telling Assange, who is currently holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in central London: 'We trusted you and put our faith in you - now come back.'

He added: 'At the moment I am not persuaded that there any reasons that securities would not be using every effort, publicly or privately, to persuade Assange to surrender himself to the UK authorities. I might change my mind but that’s my position now.'

The group, which includes two members of the British aristocracy and a Nobel Prize winner, have until October 3 to show the court why they should not lose the money ...

Where could he be? It's a complete frickin mystery! Ecuadorian embassy? Where's that? Quito? Stockholm? Nobody could be expected to be able to find the Ecuadorian embassy!
