Josh Campbell thinks Anonymous is Kirstjen Nielsen

?s=19

Excerpt from embedded link in Tweet:
That's what one former FBI agent speculated following the resignation of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Sunday, per Mediaite. Josh Campbell, a CNN analyst and former FBI special agent, suggested on Twitter that Nielsen's resignation letter bears a striking resemblance to the Times op-ed written by an anonymous senior administration official who said they were part of a "resistance" working to undermine Trump's worst impulses from within.

While citing his FBI experience, Campbell observed that both Nielsen's resignation letter and the Times op-ed make heavy use of commas and em dashes, also pointing to a few other instances of similar choices.

As a trained investigator, I’m just going to go on record now saying that anonymous NYT op-ed was LOADED with commas and em dashes.

And so is this resignation letter. https://t.co/6KM1huiO0i https://t.co/GTdYRzumSd

She seemed to get sucked into the Trump vortex for awhile and acted like a first class asshole when it came to the border and defending family separation.

Also, she is out of the there so why is she hiding?

On edit: I just saw that the person who wrote this book did not get an advance and is donating the proceeds.

For that she has my empathy.

When the identity comes out, and if it is her, she needs to ask for forgiveness. Especially from all the children she hurt.

Figured out who wrote the original op Ed. And that person was quietly booted out. If that's worth anything.

There was some fuss from DOJ? about NDAs last week. Thought that was interesting...signal to me that Anonymous had one ?

Unfortunately, the book is going to come out, people are going to be curious, the ID will still be unresolved, and everyone will want to read it... only later will anyone know whether or not they gave their precious pennies to a hero or an abomination.

American people know the mess that is in the white house. A hero would have went ahead with their resignation and said to the rest of the crowd you don't have to come with me but I'm going to let Americans know exactly what is happening. They're not a hero and won't get my money. If it were free I wouldn't read it.

The WaPo and NYT both wrote profiles of Nielsen that evinced a conflicted person. It's too much to call them "sympathetic" but you got the sense of someone struggling ethically with many of the demands made on her. But this book could certainly be an effort to rehabilitate her image. It's wise to be skeptical. She's not a humanitarian, for sure, but she had limits. What's that old saying: The enemy of my enemy is my friend (at least for a little while).

I would run it through a software program that disguised my writing style. Assuming something like that exists, and I'll bet it does. Remember at first everybody thought it was Pence.

They use it to verify that people are the true authors of books, doctorate and collegiate papers.

It can process and compare millions of essays and identify the writer with near 100% accuracy.

Strong ideals - my guess. But it is so antithetical to a career military guy. Although someone said the person, if in the waning years of career, would think ..what the hell, I am going for it.
