This past Wednesday, Chick-Fil-A had a 39 score compared to the Top National QSR Sector average score of 43.

It is also the first time Chick-Fil-A has sunk below the fast food consumer perception average of the top QSR restaurant chains.

It is never smart to piss off half of your potential customers. And it is particularly stupid to do this when you are a retailer losing market share left and right, with no clue how to stabilize your business.

I haven't been in a Sears for probably 15 years. Along the way, they cemented that idea when their Land's End unit forced employees to endure right-wing hate speech by Guiliani. Up to that time, I probably spent $500/year with Land's End. But I quickly found out there were other places to get goods of comparable quality without supporting an enterprise that invites right-wing hate speech.

Just as it's become 'fashionable' to support gay rights.

Companies the size of Sears do not make these decisions lightly.

This is another sign that the tide is turning.
