The first night of the Convention is immediately making something perfectly clear

Barack Obama is a great president in American history. A great number of historic things have happened in the last four years, many of which have had a tangible effect on the lives of the American people:

We rescued the economy from a meltdown.

We reformed health care to eliminate the worst abuses of the old system, and we'll soon have universal coverage.

We passed comprehensive regulation on the activities of Wall Street.

The repeal of DADT and the president coming out for gay marriage.

First steps are taken to combat climate change. (And a president who actually believes in science!)

Those are the top five, just off the top of my head. Obviously there are others (feel free to add them in your comments).

I am so proud of this president...and of this presidency!!!

A plan is in place to get troops out of Afghanistan.
