70% minus approximately 20% (nonDem supporters). Let's just stipulate
that there are 20% of the voters who think trump did something wrong with Ukraine but don't think he should be removed.
How do we get to them? What could we pile on to Ukraine to get them on board?

1. Oh as the next weeks and months pass,
Trump will do that for us himself.
Everyday there’s another turd nugget falling from his mouth...ass...twit. |

4. You are probably so right! It's what Nancy s strategy was
'Just wait, he'll do something worse!" strategy.
There's kind of a storm abrewing on "pay for play." People blatantly donating big money to get jobs. Reminds me of Michael Cohen who took $$ for access to Dipshit. |

2. Easy...
...Nothing. If Trump's obvious treason and corruption in Ukraine, has not already changed their minds.

9. No, but we need to accept that most of them will not change. So, plant seeds of truth that may grow
...around them. That has always been my goal. For example, I have an old close-friend that was our GOP mayor and the borough president here in a heavy red county in SC-PA. When I joke with him about politics, I'm not aiming my comments at him but rather at the people who always gather around him/us when we talk. I've used that method, to change at least a few minds over the years who have told me that I have changed their votes. Then, I stand back and feel honored and let the person know how I feel.
Works like a charm. Just takes years! |

14. Good strategy. But I am talking about the segment
who already agreed that what trump did in Ukraine was wrong. (Over and above Dems) These aren't lost causes they are the ones we need to oust him. Or vote him out.

17. Still takes years. Took a long time to get where they are, takes longer to get back because they...
...are older. York Co. where I live is a perfect example. I've been working for the local Dems here for 25 years. 25 years before I got there, York was solid blue. For most of my own past 25 years solid red. Bit, by bit to the point we have a real chance of electing a Dem congressperson in 2020.
Time heals all. Eventually. Hope Bigger. |

as a democracy all that is required is a majority vote.

hoping we win another Russian rigged election

8. What I want to know is
If it’s “wrong” yet he’s not removed what should be the result? If you don’t remove him and nothing happens then you’re saying it’s not really wrong.

"yes it's wrong but not impeachable" actually works.
Why I would add to Ukraine! My original question what to add on. |

10. To a degree I agree with JoeOtterbein's previous post.
I was staggered when the sudden abandonment of the Kurds didn't do it. If abandoning allies to slaughter doesn't make the cut, I don't know what would.
Perhaps if he came out onto the South Lawn at the White House, buck naked and grinding an open Bible against his genitals. That could possibly alienate him from a significant portion of his religious base, although I think they might just say that it shows how much he loves the scriptures. |

13. What is you the purpose of "getting them"?
Do you imagine that if they change their mind the Republicans will remove Trump?
Keep in mind as well that supporting removal in a poll doesn't mean that people support it ENOUGH to pressure their Senators to act accordingly. |

16. Purpose of getting them...either to create pressure
On senators to vote aye on Impeachment or to vote him out.
We are NOT talking his core base here. We are talking about people who had a modicon of sense. Likely a segment of thinking repukes and Indies. |

18. There's at least 35 percent who will never support removal. Probably 40+ percent.
Just as you hear Trump supporters occasionally say things like, "I don't always agree with what Trump says or how he says it," there are also those who can think he did something wrong but not even remotely support removal.
As I keep saying, support for removal will never get as high as we'd like. There's simply too much ignorance in the US. I guarantee you there are millions of people who don't even know there are impeachment hearings taking place, or that there's a presidential election next year. |
