I took it as a dig to Ryan - but it was really subtle. Can someone tell me the line?

Something like they are not just looking forward to walking again, but they want to run marathons.

Absolutely intentional. And a double tap - the GOP hardly mentioned troops or vets, and nobody would mention a "marathon" without knowing the currency of that word.

The line I think you are referring to I thought was delivered by one of the Governors (I think Castro), but I could be wrong. it was something like "this is not a sprint, this is not a marathon, it is a relay race." Referring, of course, to passing on the baton from generation to generation. But I think it was also a subtle dig at Ryan's debunked marathon claims.

I think it was his grandmother, maybe his mother, then he said where she held a broom handle, I can now how this microphone. It was pretty cool. Maybe I need to go back and watch the whole thing.
