...is how, back in the day, the trolls and useful idiots would crowd out any critical inquiry about these criminals to attempt to make it seem that anyone who wasn't ga-ga over them was a right wing troll.

There are still probably people who will make the bizarre claim that "Manning uncovered war crimes!" without being able to meaningfully connect that claim to any identifiable war crime, or without being able to explain what that claim has to do with doing a massive indiscriminate data dump of decades of confidential State Department documents.

Having not been appointed the spokesperson for the idiot supporters of Manning and Assange, I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you.

I gather that, for some reason, you fail to grasp that the OP is intended to mock them.

Manning, of course, remains imprisoned for contempt on account of her refusal to comply with a subpoena to testify about Assange, so it strikes me that they are both two peas in a pod.

I gather you have a different opinion of them, but it is pretty freaking obvious where Manning's loyalty is. She is certainly Assange's biggest cheerleader of which I'm aware.
