Feh! Looks like an ugly travel day in many places around the country. Put on your patience hat and settle in. There are gonna be delays on the roads and at the airports today.
Me? I'm heading out the door to do my second round of snow removal this winter. Did I say Feh, already?

(146,286 posts)We had a lot of sleet last night, so there is ice on the car windows. It scraped off OK, but I'm still going to have to run the car for a while to melt it off with the defroster.
After a break, I'll go out and fire up the snowblower. I shoveled the house walks and porches already, though. But, this 74 year old many needs about 15 or 20 minutes rest before going out and doing the rest.

(146,286 posts)The weather is of interest, sometimes. Right now, it's making national news. People returning from Thanksgiving week trips are having major problems getting home.
But, I still don't know who you're talking about, nor why you bothered to comment in this innocuous thread. Perhaps a new hobby would be a good thing.

(7,595 posts)We treaded carefully outside and put rock salt on the porch and sidewalk, however it just keeps refreezing. It's a good day for me to stay inside and deep clean the house.
Stay safe and warm, MM.

(146,286 posts)I have to make a supermarket run, though. I'm sure the arterial streets are OK around here. The local jurisdictions get right on snow removal. Voters insist.

My travel plans are to walk about 200 yards through the woods to eat with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. No traffic problems anticipated, although the rabbits might have a different point of view.

(146,286 posts)After brushing my car off, I did some shopping and then ran it through a touch-free carwash to get the ice and the rest of the snow off the car. Now it looks like it was in the garage, and there's no more snow expected for a few days.
